Heritage Workshops was created to house a myriad of dance projects and classes that I would like to offer my community.  I have a passion for dance history as part of my teaching and creative work, so connecting to our heritage as dancers is important to me!

I grew up in Boulder under the tutelage of my mother, Barbara Demaree who owned and operated “Ballet Arts Boulder” for many years.  I have taught ballet for over 20 years and also hold an MFA in dance from the University of Colorado.  I am also a musician and play fiddle often for the Scandinavian dance community.

I am excited to offer ballet and character dance for dancers at the Avalon to enjoy as part of their overall dance experience.  I hope to bridge the gap between many styles of dance to find a common ground, as well as offer an experience that enhances one’s skills and technique.
